100_0479I was born and raised in Iowa, along the Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois.  When I was 27, I spent a year in Vladimir, Russia and then lived in Texas for a little over a year (the Houston area).  I’ve been in California since June of 2005.

I currently work at Blue Shield of California.  It is not my ideal job, but it pays the bills.  Our department works with large employer groups who offer Blue Shield to their employees.  Recently, I began working as a team lead for the Member Eligibility Team.

My first love and passion is dance.  I started when I was three, and I began teaching when I was 16.  I’ve studied and taught tap, jazz, and ballet.  I have also choreographed musicals for high schools and community theaters.  Currently, I teach private lessons and am hoping to start a dance ministry through church.  That is my heart and God’s call for my life.

Hi I am sarah. what is your name? My email is sarahlouisetownend@hotmail.co.uk. I am a Christian believer and am currently writing a book including a section on dance and its connection with God. I would love to include your blog here in that. Would that be ok? If you have any other thoughts as to how dance and God are connected please email them to me and I can include those too.

    God bless x

Good evening (it is where I am): I just discovered your blog, and what can I say, but “WOW”!
I have read only a couple of your entries, and I want to say that I REALLY like (1) your writing, your words & phrasing; (2) your honesty; (3) your courage; (4) your heart; and (5) the path you are on, it is in so many ways similar to mine.
When I saw your photo, I was so surprised – I guess I expected you to look more like me. ‘Tis to laugh at.
I would love to be one of your blog followers. Having given you my email address, is there anything else I need to do?
Know that having journeyed for a long time on a path like yours, I want you to have faith and hope in yourself and your journey. I am in such a good place right now, after decades of not knowing where the staircase might lead, just trusting the next step was the right one for me (to personalise something Martin Luther King Jr. Said.)
So I bid you a safe journey filled with many moments of peace, joy, adventure & love.

Hi there! I started a blog that also deals with Dance and Christianity, but also with health. I love yours and your story; it’s very similar to mine. I was wondering if I could talk more to you about your blogging and dance career so far. Thank you ~ Megan
