I was born and raised in Iowa, along the Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois. When I was 27, I spent a year in Vladimir, Russia and then lived in Texas for a little over a year (the Houston area). I’ve been in California since June of 2005.
I currently work at Blue Shield of California. It is not my ideal job, but it pays the bills. Our department works with large employer groups who offer Blue Shield to their employees. Recently, I began working as a team lead for the Member Eligibility Team.
My first love and passion is dance. I started when I was three, and I began teaching when I was 16. I’ve studied and taught tap, jazz, and ballet. I have also choreographed musicals for high schools and community theaters. Currently, I teach private lessons and am hoping to start a dance ministry through church. That is my heart and God’s call for my life.
